Chakthip Leads Initiative to Nurture Young Athletic Talent Nationwide

Bangkok: Pol. Gen. Chakthip Chaijinda, President of the Athletics Association of Thailand, is spearheading the Domestic Power 2025 project, "Kid's Athletics," aimed at fostering sustainable youth development in athletics across the country.

According to Thai News Agency, a meeting was held at the Border Patrol Police Headquarters where Pol. Gen. Chakthip, along with key members such as Pol. Lt. Gen. Rungroj Thakoonpunyasiri, Senior Vice President, Pol. Maj. Gen. Surapong Ariyamongkol, Senior Vice President and Secretary General of the Association, and Mr. Anurak Sengiangjit, Committee Member and Treasurer, discussed strategies to effectively implement the project for the fiscal year 2026. The focus was on creating a comprehensive plan to advance the project's goals under the theme "Kid's Athletics."

The project is supported by the Sports Authority of Thailand and the National Sports Development Fund. It aims to collaborate with sports associations across all 77 provinces to ensure the program's sustainable implementation and nationwide impact.

The Kid's Athletics initiative is recognized internationally by the Athletics Association of Thailand and operates under a license from World Athletics. It emphasizes the development of fundamental athletic skills in running, jumping, and throwing for children aged 8-12 years, promoting holistic development in young athletes.
