Bangkok: "Varawut" reveals that the Cabinet has approved the transfer of "Natthapol Rangsitpol" to the position of Advisor to the Prime Minister. Minister of Industry, Varawut Silpa-archa, announced the Cabinet's resolution to transfer Mr. Nattapol Rangsitpol, who currently serves as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, to a new role as Advisor to the Prime Minister for Civil Servants.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Varawut shared that candidates for the position of Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry have been considered, but the decision now awaits royal approval. The Ministry is seeking a candidate from within its ranks to ensure continuity and leverage existing knowledge of the industrial sector.
Mr. Varawut highlighted that a suitable candidate must have comprehensive expertise in the industrial field. An internal candidate is preferred to maintain a smooth transition and continued efficiency. He addressed observations that appointments during Mr. Anutin's government have favored individuals with long-standing service records, emphasizing the Ministry's commitment to continuity. Mr. Varawut clarified that there was no discussion with the Prime Minister about the new permanent secretary's name during recent meetings, as the focus was on immediate matters. The appointment of a new permanent secretary will necessitate a Royal Decree.
