Cabinet Approves Citizenship for 480,000 Thailand-Born Immigrants.

bangkok: "Phumtham," Deputy Prime Minister, explained after the Cabinet granted citizenship to 480,000 immigrants born in Thailand, emphasizing that everything has a legal process, stating that if everything is viewed as a problem, it will be disheartening. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Phumtham Vejjayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, addressed the concerns that arose following the Cabinet's decision last week to approve Thai citizenship for 480,000 immigrants and minorities born in Thailand. He discussed the need for a streamlined process to make obtaining citizenship faster and easier while ensuring that issues are resolved. He highlighted the importance of adhering to principles, whether centralized or decentralized, to expedite processes and serve the majority effectively. He reassured that there is a thorough checking process in place, and names can be withdrawn if necessary. In response to comparisons with 'Coach Che,' Mr. Chatchai Che, formerly Choi Young-seok, a South Korean coach of the Thai national taekwondo team who took over a decade to acquire Thai citizenship, Mr. Phumtham mentioned the new procedures in place. He urged people not to perceive every situation as problematic but rather as an opportunity for success. Viewing challenges as mere problems, he noted, would be disheartening and hinder progress.
