Buriram United Appoints Mark Jackson as New Head Coach


Buriram: Buriram United has reached an agreement to appoint Mark Jackson, a 48-year-old English manager with experience managing professional teams in Europe and Asia, as the new head coach of the Thunder Castles. Mark Jackson began his coaching career with Leeds United’s U18 team in 2016 before being promoted to Leeds United’s U23 team in 2020. In 2022, he joined the club’s senior coaching staff as an assistant to then-head coach Jesse Marsh.



According to Thai News Agency, after gaining extensive Premier League experience, Jackson decided to take on his first senior coaching job with English League One side Milton Keynes Dons before moving to Asia to gain new experience with Australian club Central Coast Mariners for the 2023/24 season. Jackson has now accepted a significant career challenge by officially taking on the role of head coach of Buriram United. He aims to lead the Thunder Castle army in the 2025/26 season.
