Denver:The Denver Broncos secured a dramatic 28-24 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, taking the lead in the AFC West. The game was held at Empower Field at Mile High, where the Broncos showcased resilience in the final moments against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.
According to Thai News Agency, the Broncos faced a tense situation late in the fourth quarter, contending with the Chiefs’ formidable offense without their star defensive back, Brandon Jones, and lacking timeouts. Despite these challenges, Mahomes managed to advance the Chiefs 44 yards on eight plays to the Broncos' one-yard line.
In a crucial fourth-down play with just four seconds left, Broncos players Jonathan Cooper and Nick Bonitto disrupted the Chiefs' offense. Malcolm Roach then reached Mahomes, whose attempted risky throw failed to cross the goal line, resulting in a sack as the referee blew the whistle.
The win not only excited the fans at Empower Field, but also marked the Chiefs’ first back-to-back losses of the 2026 season, following a five-game winning streak. This victory officially placed the Denver Broncos at the top of the AFC West standings.
