Na Chom Thian: In a commendable act of bravery and civic duty, four military cadets and a good citizen played a pivotal role in assisting the Na Chom Thian Police in apprehending a thief involved in stealing electric wires. The incident unfolded at approximately 11:00 a.m. on May 24, 2015, in front of a resort on Soi Jomtien 6. According to Thai News Agency, the investigation team from Na Chom Thian Police Station was actively pursuing leads on a gang suspected of stealing electric wires when they encountered a suspicious individual engaged in the act. As the police moved in to arrest the thief amidst the ensuing chaos, the four military cadets happened to be passing by and immediately offered their assistance. Their intervention was instrumental in the successful arrest of the culprit, who was found in possession of tools and a motorcycle used in the crime. Further investigation revealed that the perpetrator confessed to acting alone, stealing the wires to fund his drug purchases. Na Chom Thian Police Stat ion has since taken measures to prosecute the individual and is expanding its investigation to identify other gang members involved in similar activities. Pol. Lt. Gen. Yingyot Thepjamnong, Commander of Provincial Police Region 2, expressed his admiration for the courage and skills displayed by the young cadets. He emphasized that their actions serve as an exemplary model for the younger generation. Additionally, he acknowledged the role of parents, guardians, and schools in nurturing a strong sense of responsibility in the students. On May 28, he plans to personally present certificates of honor to the five students involved. The four commendable students are from Bang Lamung School and have been identified as Mr. Chanon Pralao, Mr. Chaimongkol Pamadee, Mr. Komkrit Chatthai, and Mr. Phan Det Sirimak.
