Big One Group Allocates Seven-Figure Budget to Sustain YBL Thailand Youth Basketball Tournament

Bangkok: Big One Group, a well-known snack and toy company, has announced a seven-figure budget to support the continuation of the "YBL Thailand" youth basketball tournament until the end of the season. This decision follows the acknowledgment by the league's executives of potential budgetary issues that could lead to the suspension of the league and possible budget cuts before the conclusion of Season 3. According to Thai News Agency, the Youth Ballers League Thailand (YBL Thailand) has long provided a platform for basketball-loving youth across the country to hone their skills. Despite facing financial difficulties and seeking new investors to sustain the league for the next season, the organization remains determined to host the event on its own this year. Pavitra Taswichai, CEO of Big One Group, stated that upon learning about YBL's situation, the company recognized the significance of the issue, as it directly impacts the aspirations of many young athletes. Big One Group, having targeted youth as its p rimary audience for 30 years, decided to intervene by providing urgent funding. Although the support may not cover all expenses, the company hopes it will at least allow the competition to progress and encourage support from other benefactors. This assistance aims to ensure that the youth continue to have competitive opportunities, alleviate parental concerns, and enable young athletes to develop their skills on a competitive stage. Pavitra emphasized the importance of keeping these young athletes' dreams alive and expressed hope that this support will contribute to the growth of Thai youth basketball. Big One Group has consistently demonstrated its commitment to youth initiatives. Previously, the company supported Think Curve's Dream Stadium project, which has been revitalizing neglected communities into accessible public spaces for children and youth across various areas of Bangkok over the past three years.
