‘Big Odd’ Somyot Remains Silent Amid Embezzlement Allegations by ‘Madam Pang’

Bangkok: "Big Odd" Pol. Gen. Somyot Pumpanmuang, the former president of the Football Association of Thailand, has stated that he is not yet prepared to respond to recent accusations of embezzlement made by 'Madam Pang' Nualphan Lamsam. Somyot, who recently avoided imprisonment, has requested understanding from the media regarding his current situation. The allegations include financial mismanagement and the drawing of a salary from both the association and Thai League Company Limited during his tenure.

According to Thai News Agency, the accusations have been made by Nualphan Lamsam, who currently presides over the Football Association. She has raised several issues related to the association's financial health, claiming that the management practices during Somyot's presidency have resulted in significant debt. The accusations center on the alleged misappropriation of funds and improper financial oversight.

When questioned by the media about the possibility of a press conference or legal action in response to the allegations, Somyot indicated that no plans have been made yet. He further requested permission to leave, signaling that he is not ready to engage with the claims at this time.
