Barcelona: Barca are targeting Bernardo Silva on a free transfer as a replacement for Rashford.
According to Thai News Agency, sport journalist Carlos Monfort reports that Barcelona are considering signing Bernardo Silva on a free transfer after the 31-year-old decided to leave Manchester City in search of a new challenge in the twilight of his career.
The report states that Jorge Mendes, the player's agent, has suggested Bernardo to the Barcelona board for consideration. Despite offers from Atletico Madrid and Benfica, his dream is to play at Camp Nou, and his family lives in Catalonia, making discussions more positive. Furthermore, the former Manchester City player is willing to reduce his salary to pave the way for a move to La Liga, while Barcelona sees Bernardo as still possessing the quality, experience, and versatility to play in multiple positions.
However, if Bernardo Silva joins the team, along with the signing of Anthony Gordon, it would immediately fill Barcelona's attacking quota and could close the door on the possibility of signing Marcus Rashford permanently from Manchester United. Meanwhile, Ian Whittell, a reporter from The Times, updated that Barcelona are considering offering Bernardo a salary of around £80,000 per week.
