Ban nong chan: The atmosphere at Ban Nong Chan was notably subdued this morning, with an absence of parade vehicles, national anthem, or any motivational music. Some villagers expressed their disappointment and chose to return home.
According to Thai News Agency, villagers had gathered early at Ban Nong Chan in anticipation of a parade, with patriotic songs echoing from loudspeakers starting at 7 a.m., followed by the national anthem at 8 a.m. However, due to a restriction that limited music and documentary presentations to only one hour, the parade was left incomplete. While some villagers returned home disappointed, others lingered in hope of further developments. Many expressed regret for missing the previous day’s opportunity, having secured lodging in the district to participate in the morning events. They also emphasized their belief in the right to use sound systems for events on the Thai side.
Despite the subdued morning, vendors were present in Ban Nong Chan, selling national flags, hats, and acces
sories adorned with national flag designs. The day, being a holiday, had fueled expectations of parade activities, although the anticipated parade vehicles failed to materialize.
