Assumption Sriracha School Triumphs at Chang Junior Cup 2026 Eastern Region Championship

Chonburi: Assumption Sriracha School has reclaimed the Eastern Region championship title at the "Chang Junior Cup 2026," marking a significant achievement in the youth football tournament for players under 13 years old.

According to Thai News Agency, "Chang Natural Mineral Water" has reinforced its commitment to supporting football by launching the "Chang Junior Cup 2026." This prestigious competition is designed to develop young players and identify the best team in Thailand. The tournament offers awards including one "Most Talented Player" and two "Sportsmanship Awards," with the winners gaining an opportunity to experience a world-class tournament in England.

The first qualifying round of the 'Chang Junior Cup 2026' took place in the Eastern region from April 3-5, 2026, at Pattana Sport Resort in Chonburi Province. A total of 20 teams participated in this round. The final match was a rematch of the 2025 championship, featuring Assumption Sriracha School, the 2019 champions and runners-up of the Eastern Region, against Pattaya United, the 2025 Eastern Region champions. This year, Assumption Sriracha School emerged victorious with a 2-0 win, securing the Eastern Region championship, a trophy, a scholarship, and the right to compete in the national championship round. They will compete against youth teams from leading clubs in the country to find the ultimate U13 team, which will win an exclusive prize of a world-class experience in England.

The 'Chang Junior Cup 2026' represents a collaborative effort between the Football Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage, Leicester City Football Club, Bootroom Co., Ltd. (manufacturer and distributor of Arigia sportswear), and Molten (Thailand) Co., Ltd. These entities are working together to develop and elevate Thai football to an international level.

The next qualifying round of the 'Chang Junior Cup 2026' will be held in the Southern Zone from April 8-11 at the Songkhla University football field in Songkhla province. Registration for the Central Zone will be open from April 13-17, 2026, accepting 24 teams, with the competition scheduled for April 24-26, 2026, at Ratchaburi Stadium in Ratchaburi province.
