Bangkok: "Arsit" bows respectfully to "Anutin" after escaping a major reshuffle of civil servants, securing his position as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior. Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul left Government House after completing his duties this evening.
According to Thai News Agency, before leaving Government House, Mr. Arsit Sampanrat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, bowed to the Prime Minister, who then took his arm and helped him stand up before they both departed. Reporters noted that this incident occurred after the Cabinet approved the appointment and transfer of 20 high-ranking officials in the Ministry of Interior, effective from October 1, 2026.
Previously, there were rumors that Mr. Arsit might be transferred to another ministry after a powerful political faction tried to push someone else into the position. However, in this appointment and transfer, Mr. Arsit remains as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior.
