Police and DSI jointly announced the arrest of "Nutty Diary" and her mother, suspects in a stock trading scam worth over 2 billion baht, after fleeing to Indonesia and being arrested by Indonesian police. They will now be forwarded to DSI for further legal action. Pol. Lt. Gen. Thatchai Pitaneelabut, Assistant Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police, Pol. Maj. Gen. Phanumas Boonlak, Deputy Commissioner-General of the Immigration Bureau, Pol. Maj. Gen. Atthasit Sutsongwan, Deputy Commissioner-General of the Technology Crime Suppression Division, together with Pol. Lt. Wisanu Chimtrakul, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), announced the receipt of the two suspects, mother and daughter of 'Nutty Diary' from Indonesia. The suspects deceived victims into investing in stocks, resulting in as many as 6,000 victims and damages of more than 2 billion baht, to be prosecuted in Thailand. Pol. Lt. Gen. Thatchai said that the Royal Thai Police have already handed over the cas e to the DSI as a special case. At the police level, there are 3 suspects and the Indonesian Interpol has been contacted to arrest and extradite 2 of them: Ms. Natthamon or Natty Leah, a YouTuber and owner of the Nutty's Diary channel, aged 31, with 13 arrest warrants; and Ms. Thaniya, Natty's mother, aged 66, with 2 arrest warrants. Another person, Natty's secretary, has fled and is being tracked down. The police have handed over both suspects to the DSI for further investigation after it became a special case. For "Natty", she fled Thailand in July 2022 by a natural route in the south, without going through immigration, and hid in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Then, she illegally entered Indonesia through Batam Island, Kepulao Wanrija Province, before traveling to Dumai City and was arrested by Indonesian officials and had the visas of both suspects revoked. The Thai Embassy in Indonesia and the arresting police were contacted to confirm the identities and push the suspects back to Thailand. Initially, someone h elped the mother and daughter escape while they were hiding abroad. "Natty" does not have a job. As for the asset trail, the DSI will have to expand the investigation into the legal process. It was found that Natty's mother was not feeling well. Today, a doctor from the Police General Hospital came to examine her. Pol. Lt. Col. Wisanu said that the offense of Suchata Natty's share was deceiving and inviting people to invest in Forex trading via the IQ Option app. There was no actual trading. This case was accepted as a special case 294/2565. There were victims who filed complaints with both the DSI and the Cyber ??Police. The police seized 16 million baht in assets, while the DSI also seized some assets. They are in the process of assessing the value of the assets. There were a total of 9 offenders, 6 of whom have acknowledged the charges. Today, 2 suspects, Natty and her mother, were arrested. The remaining 1 suspect, the secretary, is still at large. The DSI will prosecute the case criminally. The civil ca se will be collected and sent to the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO) to provide compensation to the victims. In the investigation, it was found that the trading method used deception, with Share Natty Suchata deceiving that she had the ability to trade, but later found out that she could not actually do it, there was no payment of benefits, and no refund. It was an intentional deception from the beginning, similar to the Forex3d case. The DSI has coordinated with financial institutions to track down the assets. As for the 13 arrest warrants, the police have been asked to send them to the DSI to be combined into 1 case so that they can be prosecuted at once. This case, the Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant No. 1919/2565 dated September 12 for the offense of 'jointly defrauding the public, entering false, distorted or forged information into a computer system in a manner likely to cause damage to others or the public, advertising or announcing to the public about borrowing money that it will pay or may pay benefits at a rate higher than the highest interest rate that the financial institution can pay, knowing that the money from the lender will be used to pay the lender, or knowing or should have known that it is not possible to conduct any business that will provide sufficient benefits to pay and is the cause of borrowing money.
