Anutin Unaware of Kriang Kalptinant’s Appearance at Pullman, Expresses Confidence in Political Alliances

Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, addressed the incident involving Kriang Kalptinant, a Pheu Thai Party list MP, who appeared at the Pullman King Power Rangnam Hotel concurrently with Anutin’s participation in the 2025 Thai Economic Seminar. The seminar, themed “When the World Changes…Where Is Thailand Going?” featured a special lecture by Anutin on “Resetting the National Structure, Recovering the Thai Economy.”

According to Thai News Agency, Anutin feigned ignorance regarding Kriang Kalptinant’s presence, repeatedly questioning the identity of “Kriang” when approached by a reporter. Upon learning that Kriang had met with Newin Chidchob, president of Buriram United, Anutin acknowledged the friendship between them. He mentioned not having spoken to Newin for two days and expressed his intent to contact him soon.

In response to inquiries about potential political implications, Anutin emphasized that he had not communicated with Newin recently. He reassured that both the front office and back office were aligned in their political strategies. Discussing the impact of a strong economic team on the Bhumjaithai Party, Anutin stated that only the Thai Party was currently active in addressing Thailand’s economic challenges, particularly concerning the Thai-Cambodian conflict. He stressed the importance of maintaining national sovereignty and regional peace.

Regarding a scheduled meeting with Nipon Bunyamanee, Anutin confirmed plans for an official visit to seven southern provinces, including a stop in Hat Yai District. He mentioned that Nipon would welcome him, and they would have a meal together as part of normal proceedings. When asked about Mr. Nipit’s potential move to the Bhumjaithai Party, Anutin expressed confidence that Nipit would indeed join their ranks, affirming his alignment with the party’s goals.
