Bangkok: Anutin explained the signing of the deportation order for Israeli citizens, citing new regulations to tighten legal enforcement against foreigners behaving inappropriately and posing a threat to national security and the lives of Thai people.
According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul stated in an interview regarding the signing of the Ministry of Interior's order to deport Mr. Yaacov Ohayon, an Israeli national, from Thailand on September 5th. The action was based on the new Prime Minister's Office regulations on deportation B.E. 2569 (2026). These regulations allow for the deportation of foreigners who display undesirable behavior towards Thai citizens or engage in inappropriate or immoral acts that threaten national security and the well-being of Thai people.
Mr. Anutin emphasized that this move aims to strengthen the enforcement of the law to be more decisive and swift. He remarked, "We want a large influx of tourists, but once they arrive, they must respect the law, respect the Thai people, and respect Thai customs, traditions, and culture. If they do anything outrageous or unconventional, we reserve the right to ask them to be deported according to the law."
