Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, the Prime Minister of Thailand and leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, found himself at the center of an unexpected autograph session during a parliamentary session. Members of Parliament and Senators eagerly sought his signature on copies of his policy statement, transforming a routine parliamentary gathering into a memorable event.
According to Thai News Agency, the incident occurred after Prime Minister Anutin returned to Parliament following his participation in the Air Force Day 2026 celebrations. Upon his arrival, Polpeera Suwannachavi, an MP from the Bhumjaithai Party representing Nakhon Ratchasima, was the first to approach him with a request for an autograph on the policy statement cover. This sparked a series of similar requests from other MPs and Senators, including Atthawich Suwannabhakdi from the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party and Dr. Veerapan Suwannamai from the Senate, who were keen to secure a signed memento.
In addition to signing autographs, Anutin engaged in conversations with several ministers present in the chamber. These included Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sihasak Phuangketkaew, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, and Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Suchart Chomklin. The Prime Minister's interactions extended to other Members of Parliament who remained in the chamber.
The session concluded with a group photo featuring Anutin alongside MPs from the Bhumjaithai Party and General Kriengkrai Srirak, the First Deputy Speaker of the Senate, capturing the unique moment for posterity.
