Buriram:Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul participated in a video conference at the National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Command Center to oversee flood relief efforts. The meeting was held in the Phanom Rung Conference Room at the Buriram Provincial Hall.
According to Thai News Agency, images later surfaced of Anutin attending the birthday celebration of Newin Chidchob, president of Buriram United Football Club, who turned 68. The event, typically marked by a grand celebration at Chang Arena in Buriram, featured the traditional elephant-waving ceremony, a family tradition for the Chidchob clan.
During the celebration, Newin tied a string around Anutin's wrist, wishing him well and expressing hope that Anutin would serve as Prime Minister for another term until he felt tired. Newin humorously added that two more terms would suffice, to which Anutin replied that he was already feeling tired and questioned if it was too much.
Additionally, members of the Bhumjaithai Party, including MPs and key figures, attended the event in Buriram to celebrate Newin's birthday. Among them was Chaijanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society and Secretary-General of the Bhumjaithai Party, who shared an old photo on social media, expressing his love and respect for Newin.
