Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul signed an order appointing Deputy Director-General Sembe as Acting Director-General of the National Statistical Office (NSO), effective July 16 onwards until further notice.
According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Anutin Charnvirakul, also signed an order from the Ministry of Interior regarding the appointment of an acting director-general of the Department of Local Administration. The order states that, as per Ministry of Interior Order No. 1563/2569 dated June 23, 2026, Mr. Theerut Supavibulphol was temporarily appointed as the Director-General of the Department of Local Administration, effective from June 24, 2026, until further notice.
In order to ensure the proper performance of official duties within the Department of Local Administration, and by virtue of the power vested in Section 46 of the Administrative Procedure Act B.E. 2534 (1991), Mr. Nirat Pongsitthithavorn, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, is hereby appointed as Acting Director-General of the Department of Local Administration, effective from July 16, 2026, until further notice.
