Ang Thong Province Prepares for Heavy Rain with Urgent Water Pump Deployment

Ang Thong:The province is taking swift action to address potential flooding by deploying additional water pumps ahead of an expected wave of rainfall.

According to Thai News Agency, large water pumps have been set up along the Chao Phraya River, specifically behind Ang Thong Hospital and in front of the old provincial hall where government offices are situated. Mobile pumping units are operating around the clock to manage water levels, especially in the economic zones on the river's western bank, as the region braces for heavy rain.

A warning has been issued for all areas to remain alert for continuous rain expected to last until October 7. Currently, six districts, 44 sub-districts, and 194 villages across Ang Thong province are experiencing flooding.
