Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Advocates Business Bridges Between Thailand and Ethiopia

Addis ababa: Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs delivered opening remarks at the "Thailand - Ethiopia: Building Business Bridges" event in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He reiterated Thailand's commitment to enhancing economic cooperation and strengthening business ties between Thailand and Ethiopia, aiming to create new trade and investment opportunities and foster mutually beneficial business partnerships. According to African Press Organization, the Advisor highlighted the complementary economic potential of both nations. He noted that Ethiopia could serve as a gateway to East African markets, while Thailand could connect to markets and supply chains in Southeast Asia. The business mission aligns with the Thailand - Africa Initiative (TAI), which aims to establish long-term partnerships between Thailand and African countries, while reinforcing economic ties and connectivity between the regions. The event was part of a Thai business delegation's market exploration mission to Nigeria and Ethiopia, organiz ed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to generate new business opportunities for the Thai private sector, consistent with the Ministry's Economic Diplomacy. During the event, Thai and Ethiopian businesses engaged in networking with potential partners in sectors such as banking and finance, agriculture and food processing, chemicals and construction materials, security technology and equipment, and energy, with the goal of advancing cooperation and partnership between the two countries. Furthermore, the delegation visited the AMG Gelan Industrial Park to explore opportunities in agro-processing, steel, energy, and real estate development.
