An incident occurred when a Chao Phraya Express Boat was hit by a tourist boat on the right side of the boat at the mouth of Khlong Bangkok Noi. Several passengers were injured. The tourist boat incident was sailing into the Bangkok Noi canal, while the Chao Phraya Express Boat was traveling directly from Sathorn Pier to Nonthaburi Province, resulting in 4 passengers on the Chao Phraya Express Boat being injured: 2 Canadian men with head and leg injuries, and 2 Thai women with leg injuries and tightness in the chest. There were no passengers on the tourist boat. After the incident, the Chao Phraya Express Boat that was hit stopped at the pier at the Somdet Phra Pin Klao Bridge to transport the injured to Siriraj Hospital. Meanwhile, the Marine Department officials seized the driver's licenses of both boat drivers and ordered both boats to be stored at the dock because the Chao Phraya River had to be cleared quickly.
